Last updated: 2026. By using Pennywise Finance you agree to these terms. They're written in plain English and mostly say "we try our best, but please don't bet your house on a calculator."
These terms govern your use of the Pennywise Finance website and the calculators and content within it. They apply alongside our privacy policy. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site.
Everything on this site — calculators, articles, FAQs, examples — is general information about UK personal finance topics. It is not regulated financial advice, not a personal recommendation, and not a substitute for talking to a qualified professional about your specific circumstances. Pennywise Finance is not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority.
We make a real effort to keep the calculators and figures correct, including reviewing tax allowances every year. Even so, errors creep into the best-built tools, lender practices vary, tax rules change, and your real-world results will not match a calculator down to the penny. Always confirm figures with your provider before acting on them.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pennywise Finance is not liable for any loss — financial, consequential, indirect or otherwise — arising from decisions you make based on the information or calculators on this site. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.

The text, layout, code, calculator logic and design of Pennywise Finance are owned by us and protected by UK copyright law. You may quote short extracts (a paragraph or two) for non-commercial purposes with a clear link back. For anything more substantial — syndication, reproduction, or commercial use — please ask first via the contact page.
Where we link to other sites (for example, MoneyHelper, the FCA, the ICO, Google's privacy policy), we have no control over what those sites publish. The link is for your convenience and isn't an endorsement of every page on the destination site.
We display advertising from Google AdSense to fund the site. The adverts are chosen by Google's systems, not by us, and an ad appearing here does not mean we endorse the advertiser. If you ever see an ad that breaks Google's rules or feels deceptive, please tell us.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts, except where mandatory consumer protection law gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.
